After the devastating earthquake of 01/12/10, the situation in Haiti continuous to be precarious and tragic. The port in Port-Au-Prince was destroyed during the earthquake and so were many of the ocean carriers’ offices. Currently there are no commercial shipping services to Haiti. As soon as shipping routes to Haiti are re-established, Key International Shipping will continue to offer excellence in shipping relief goods to Haiti and to worldwide locations as we have done for several years. Many of our NGO customers are doing a fantastic job in sending urgent medical supplies, food, shelter, clothing items and trained disaster relief workers to Haiti on special airborne carriers and through the Dominican Republic. The relief work will continue for years to come as the destructive effects of the earthquake show their toll on human lives.
